iTunes adds Galactica episodes

Apple has just announced a deal with NBC/Universal to offer several television shows for sales on the iTunes Music Store. So, you know what that means… Apple’s new iPods can now play episodes of Battlestar Galactica!
Like most other shows on iTMS, episodes are priced at $1.99 each and they’ve got the miniseries, Season 1, and every Season 2 episode that’s been broadcast to date.
At $15.99, the miniseries is a tad overpriced, though. For just four dollars more, you can get the DVD, which includes not only the miniseries but a feature commentary, behind the scenes special, and deleted scenes.
UPDATE: I love this quote from Jeff Zucker (the head of NBC/Universal television) in the New York Times:
“Battlestar Galactica is the most stolen show online there is,” Mr. Zucker said. “Rather than have people steal it, they can pay us to see it.”

Yeah, well. Until they actually offer it in a non-craptacular resolution (DVD res, if not HDTV), I’m going to keep with the stealing. Thanks anyway, Jeff.
