Lucky BSG fan gets Colonial ballot

Vote Roslin!

Flickr user Charlie Brown has posted three shots of an awesome Galactica prop… an actual ballot from a Colonial election!

At first glance, I thought this was one of the ballots used during the election seen in Season One’s ‘Colonial Day’. But that was a vice presidential election.

So this must be a Season Two prop… which makes this a bit of a spoiler (though ‘Charlie Brown’ has taken care to blur the name of the 2nd candidate that appears on the ballot).

Dark Thoughts adds more “Resurrection Ship” images

December 26, 2005 at 9:49 am | Battlestar News, Spoilers

With less than two weeks to go until the next episode of Battlestar Galactica airs, Dark Thoughts has posted another batch of “Resurrection Ship” photos to its image library.

Most of the shots aren’t revealing and offer logical plot extensions from “Pegasus”, the last pre-hiatus episode. But that’s not the case for three of the shots, so now it’s time for us to go into spoiler mode…

• Starbuck and Apollo holding hands

• Gina (aka Number Six) pointing a gun at Admiral Cain

• And this last one is pretty amazing… Adama and President Roslin kissing!

Let the speculation begin!

Dark Thoughts has just posted three publicity stills from ‘Resurrection’, the next upcoming Battlestar Galactica episode (due to air on January 6, 2006). None of the shots reveal any spoilers, but it’s still exciting to see new imagery from the 2nd half of Season 2.

Only 52 days remaining until Battlestar Galactica is back on the air!

Gateworld opens portal to new details about Season 2

November 9, 2005 at 9:06 am | Battlestar News, Spoilers

Stargate fansite GateWorld has released some new details about the remaining episodes in Season 2 of BSG.

The titles of the next six episodes are:
• Resurrection Ship
• Epiphanies
• Unknown #1
• Black Market
• Sacrifice
• The Captain’s Hand

They’ve also got descriptions for several new episodes. But since they’re somewhat revealing, we’ll use a bit of inviso-text to hide these spoilers from those who don’t wish to see them.

Resurrection Ship (211)

Unknown #1
Adama learns of a pacifist movement within the fleet that is advocating peace with the Cylons. President Roslin’s illness threatens her life.

Black Market
Lee becomes entangled with a mafia-like group of criminals when he invesitages the murder of a Colonial officer — and is reunited with a former lover.

A woman who lost her husband to the Cylons takes the Cloud Nine lounge hostage, demanding that Adama hand over the Cylon Sharon so that she can exact revenge.

The Captain’s Hand
Lee Adama works alongside the increasingly unstable new commander of the Pegasus when a Raptor scouting party goes missing.

E! Online interviews Ron Moore

October 12, 2005 at 9:20 am | Battlestar News, Spoilers

E! Online has just posted a fantastic interview with BSG showrunner Ron Moore:

Here are a few spoiler-free excerpts:

Mindy Boustead: When will there be a confirmation that Battlestar Galactica was picked up for a season three?
Ron: We’re having general conversations about it. The network hasn’t made it a formal pickup. I’d say the indications look good. But they don’t have to pull the trigger on it for a few more months. It’s just the way networks work, they will probably not do it until they have to. February or March.
I’m optimistic. I’ve been optimistic since we did the miniseries that we’d get picked up and I feel that we’re going to get picked up.

Kathryn: How many years/seasons do you anticipate the series will run?
Ron: I’ve been asked that question and it’s a difficult question. I just kind of take each season as it comes. At the end of a season, like we’re approaching now, I always feel like, oh god, can I get even one more season out of it? And at the beginning of the season we always come up with more stories than we have time to do. So I’m certain that we could get a couple more years out of it. And you don’t want to overstay your welcome either.

There’s also this rather puzzling comment:

And then we’ve got, of course, a big two-part finale where a lot of things are gonna change, and the show’s gonna sort of make a fairly significant, radical change of direction.
